China was beginning to rebel. The people had disagreed with the foreigners carving up their land from the start, but any resistance had been quickly shot down. Russian armies kept a firm grip on the public’s freedom, and any signs of unrest would be investigated and silenced.
China had reached out to its neighboring countries, Korea and Japan, but both only gave lukewarm responses. Korea and Japan at this time were in the middle of a silent standoff, a cold War of sorts. Both were hermit countries, keeping to themselves in the midst of Western Imperialism; now, as Western influence continued to grow, they had no choice but to come out. Relying on this, China reached out for help and the Koreans and Japanese individuals, struck by this sentiment, packed their bags and moved to China.

Keep your plan in mind. Maintain position—
